Divine Intervention Bread
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
Combine dry ingredients in bowl.
1/4 cup honey
3/4 cup milk
1 tbsp butter
Combine liquid ingredients in a microwave safe
dish (e.g plastic measuring cup) and warm for a minute or so - the butter
will melt and the warm liquids will combine fully when stirred. Pour the
liquid over the dry ingredients, and mix well. It will be a sticky moist
dough. Turn it out onto a lightly buttered cookie sheet.
(it's like a *blob* {culinary term} that spreads
itself out, just round it out a little) and bake about 30 minutes at 350
degrees until it browns lightly.
This makes the one loaf for communion. It is NOT
good after freezing - very crumbly, but since it takes 5 minutes prep time,
it's easy to get it done on Sunday morning. If it's still hot, don't put in
plastic or foil because it will be soggy, wrap it in a clean towel and bring
that delicious hot loaf to Grace.
