The
Reverend Jo Page comes to us from Raymertown Evangelical Lutheran
Church, where she served as pastor on a part-time basis. Also, she
has served as the Protestant Campus Pastor at Chapel House at the
State University, Albany. Pastor Page writes a bi-weekly column on
spiritual and ethical concerns for Metroland magazine. Prior to
these, she was pastor at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in
Rotterdam, N. Y. and Chaplain at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Pastor Page grew up in the Capital Region and is a graduate of
SUNY Binghamton. She has a Master's Degree in Creative Writing
from the University of Virginia and a Master of Divinity from the
Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. Pastor Page lives
in the village of Altamont with her two daughters.
Pastor Page is very active in our community. She has taught at
Albany Academy and Hudson Valley Community College, and is an
instructor for the Licensed Lay Leader program. As a result of her
column "Reckonings," she has been a speaker for the YMCA, Family
Planning Associates, R. P. I., and several other organizations.
Pastor Page is well known in the Hudson-Mohawk Conference area and
local communities.
Pastor Page lists her six top skills in order of importance as
leading worship, teaching, communicating, planning and innovation,
cultivating community, and facilitating spirituality.
